Course Introduction
The weekly Sisters Only Classes help sisters deepen their connection with the Qur’an through correct recitation, understanding, and reflection. Open to Urdu-speaking women of all ages and abilities, the classes are held weekly at the masjid in a calm, supportive environment and are taught by a qualified female teacher.
The sessions allow participants to learn at their own pace, build confidence in Qur’an recitation, and strengthen their faith by applying Qur’anic guidance to worship, family life, personal conduct, and daily responsibilities.
What Happens in Each Session
Each session is designed to help participants improve both their understanding and recitation of the Qur’an in a practical and supportive environment. Lessons include Qur’an translation (tarjamah) and exegesis (tafseer), reflecting on key teachings, and guided recitation with the application of Tajweed rules.
Participants receive support with pronunciation, makhārij (articulation points), fluency, and correct recitation, with opportunities to read, practise, and receive feedback in an encouraging setting. The classes also explore how Qur’anic teachings can be applied in everyday life, while encouraging reflection, discussion, and spiritual growth
