The European Islamic Centre was established in 2011 to serve the growing needs of the Muslim community in Greater Manchester, providing a dedicated space for worship, learning, and community development. From its early beginnings, the Centre was founded on a vision of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals and families could strengthen their faith, access educational opportunities, and build meaningful social connections. Over time, it has developed into a trusted local institution, offering a range of religious, educational, and community-based activities that support people of all ages.

Rooted in the principles of service, unity, and compassion, the Centre has consistently sought to respond to the changing needs of its community. It has provided programmes that encourage spiritual growth, such as Qur’an learning and Islamic studies, alongside initiatives that support youth development, family wellbeing, and community cohesion. The Centre has also played an active role in promoting understanding and positive engagement with wider society, building bridges through outreach and interfaith dialogue.
